Established in 2003, EnerNex was founded by Jeff LamoreeBob Zavadil and Erich Gunther with a vision and passion to improve the operation and reliability of electric power systems.

In June of 2016, Erich Gunther, our co-founder, chairman and chief technology officer, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57.

CESI acquired EnerNex in June 2018, expanding the companies’ global reach, synergizing North American and global competencies in support of the world’s electricity sector.

With more than 60 years of experience and operating in 40 countries around the world, CESI is an European world-leading technical consulting and engineering company providing testing and certification services to the electromechanical industry as well as consulting and engineering services to the energy sector.

The company is a fully independent joint-stock company headquartered in Milan and with facilities in Berlin, Mannheim, Dubai, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, Washington, DC, Knoxville, and Rio de Janeiro.
